Detailed traceability on a serial number/Asset ID basis
When a deal is accepted, buyers are required to input both line prices and trace country data for each asset based on its unique serial number or asset ID. This dual-layered approach guarantees transparency and provides critical data for compliance and analytics.
1. Trace country at acceptence
Initially, the buyer specifies the country where the assets will be stocked (default is the buyer’s operational country).
If the assets are already allocated for shipment to another country, the buyer is expected to update the trace country immediately upon acceptance.
2. Post-stock trace updates
If the buyer later sells the stocked assets to another party or ships them internationally, the Novitio platform allows and encourages them to update the trace country at that point.
This ensures that asset tracking remains accurate and up-to-date, even for assets that undergo multiple transfers.
Ethical Trade Enforcement with T6 Country Alerts
To promote ethical trading, Novitio includes a built-in safeguard for assets destined for T6 countries (regions typically associated with higher risks of unethical practices).
If a buyer indicates that an asset is being exported to a T6 country, the system immediately flags the entry and provides a notification reminding the buyer that this action is against Novitio’s Code of Conduct.
This proactive measure prevents unethical trade practices and reinforces Novitio’s commitment to responsible asset trading.
